• Employees Prefer Quick and Decisive COVID Leadership at Work

Variants of the coronavirus continue to keep companies on their toes. Employers are still grappling with the best ways to keep their employees safe in the workplace while heading into the third year of pandemic workplace decision-making.

A narrow majority of employees (57% of the Employed Informed Public) prefer for their employers to act quickly and decisively, even if it means having to make more changes later. A sizeable minority (43%), however, prefers to see employers take a more thoughtful approach, if it ultimately leads to fewer changes down the line. These data suggest that quick and assertive COVID-related workplace decision-making will bring the greatest comfort to the largest number of workers. Any balance, however, that brings more stability at this time of continued uncertainty is a balance worth striking.
