• Most Organizations Working to Close the Gender Pay Gap

Entering 2022, U.S. women earned just 82 cents for every $1 their male counterparts earned, a stat that is unchanged from 2021, according to Payscale’s 2022 State of the Gender Pay Gap Report.

Although the gender pay gap still exists, and is even wider among Black, Hispanic and native women, there is promise that corporate leaders recognize the issue and are taking steps to correct these inequities.

Most CEOs (56%) say their organization has made meaningful and measurable commitments to close the gender pay gap, taking actions such as increasing pay transparency, extending paid family leave, not basing salaries off years of experience and more.
